Cold Fire is used by some of the world’s biggest carriers to protect their vessels and cargo. In today’s hectic global supply chain, it can be difficult to know exactly what each client is actually shipping in any given container because of inaccurate descriptions and declarations.
Correctly labeled and declared cargo, is one of the main concerns within the maritime insurance industry for both hull and P & I coverage. Hazardous chemicals, flammable liquids and lithium-ion batteries are just some of the potential risks.
When a fire is detected on board in cargo containers, Cold Fire concentrate can be quickly and efficiently deployed via lance / education, via the onboard fire hose system, not only to extinguish flames but also rapidly cool the environment to prevent further reignition and propagation of the fire.
